Chelsea Donaldson is the Founder and CEO of Pivotal Solutions for Your Health, a Health & Wellness company.
In our Q&A session with Chelsea, she takes us through her entrepreneurial journey and how she attained fulfilment in life and financial freedom.
Chelsea is passionate about improving the lives of others and helping them discover their full potential, both health and wealth-wise.
Hello Chelsea and thank you for participating in this Q&A session. We would like to start by exploring your origin story. Please give us an overview of your background and your career journey as a Health & Wellness Coach?
Chelsea: When I had my first child, Ty, I was suddenly hit with the reality that our bodies are sacred. What my body endured during childbirth was nothing short of a miracle and after that experience, I relished everyday in the ability to feed and nourish my body with the best and most wholesome ingredients available to me.
By the time my second child was born, Kate, I realized that health and wellness incorporates more than just the foods we eat; it involves our mental and emotional wellbeing too. That was when I decided to place my personal well being at the forefront of every decision I made.
Transitioning out of the 9-5 of corporate America, was so freeing because I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. I began learning how intermingled wellness was not just nutrition, but also community, work and to our finances. I realized while the 9-5 paid the bills, other areas of my life were lacking. I knew I was capable of so much more. I knew I could share what I’d learned with others, and that I could have it all, true fulfilment in my life, as well as time and financial freedom. So I decided to transition into health and wellness as a career and let my passion guide my lifestyle.
What initially attracted you to the Health & Wellness industry?
Chelsea: For as long as I can remember, understanding what makes my mind, body and spirit sing, while living in unison with the world around me, has been a constant source of both personal and intellectual curiosity. Having the ability to improve the lives of others, is rewarding, there’s few things more fulfilling than that.
Has your career journey been influenced by any past or present industry leaders?
Chelsea: I am fortunate to be involved in a company that places so much emphasis on changing peoples lives. This company and the leadership here is like nothing I’ve been apart of before. Once you get a taste of that kind of influence, and what’s capable here, you’re hooked! I am unequivocally sold out on the mission of Isagenix and it’s plan to transform peoples lives through health and wealth. THAT is my motivation everyday. THAT is what has influenced me to build this global empire of Health and Wellness warriors.
What are the key challenges you have faced in your career and in your journey as a Health & Wellness Coach?
Chelsea: Time is one of the biggest challenges to achievement. We all have the same amount of time each day, but some people use it more wisely.
"You have the same amount of hours in a day as anyone else," as the saying goes. Are you using it wisely or wasting it?
Personally, until I started spending a week or so each year mapping out my time, my goals, and putting a plan in place with deadlines for myself, that was when I started to soar toward my goals, accomplishing more, and then I set bigger goals. I encourage people to think big, then think bigger! Time is money and I’m always trying to manage my time wisely.
Please take us through your process, methodology or concept for empowering entrepreneurs through Health & Wellness Coaching?
Chelsea: I always start with your long-term goals. If you don't have any, we will create them. If you have long-term goals, it might be time to reassess them. While it can feel scary, it's really the only way to create the future you desire for yourself. A fascinating study that I love sharing was completed at the Metrus Institute, and they studied the most fulfilled people they could find. These folks had one thing in common, a vision for their life, what they want and what they would like to have accomplished.
For millennials, that might be a career goal or a body image goal. For Xers, it might be an end-of-career objective (I want to retire with X amount in the bank) or something more personal, such as taking up a new sport or hobby, or building stronger personal relationships in the wellness community. For recently retired boomers, it might be bucket list items like visiting a country they have always wanted to see or maintaining that youthful energy they miss.
I always tell my partners, "Don't be afraid to put a stake in the ground, you can always move it later!"
Let's talk about your company Pivotal Solutions for Your Health. What is its value proposition and target market?
Chelsea: Building resilience is a key skill, but there are some tricks to making it easier. The most common one is having a great network and putting their needs in the forefront. If I make sure they succeed, I succeed as well. Nurturing your network is so important, meet people where they are, ask lots of questions, listen to their needs and goals, bring value and solutions to them.
I have a knack for wanting to exceed expectations! With both my clients and my business partners, I develop a personal mentor relationship, with their goals in mind. I look to see their gifts and strengths often before they do, and to help them grow in the areas where they want to improve. I love to fuel their fire and help them overcome challenges so they can discover their full potential, both health and wealth-wise.
I always say, "I can work with anyone, but if you’re not willing to work for yourself, I can’t help you."
Before we conclude this Q&A session please tell us what impact the COVID 19 pandemic has had on your business?
I know 2020 was a difficult time for so many across the globe, but I was one of the fortunate ones. Even through a global pandemic and a global economic downturn, my business continued to skyrocket as people needed premium nutrition, the restaurants were closed, the stores were limited on food, they wanted their best health more than ever, people realized what they thought was a safe job wasn’t so safe.
In network marketing, my door never had to close, I continued to help people across the globe with their health and also to create much needed income they had lost. They realized residual income is required to create real wealth and it will serve as financial insurance for you in times like we just experienced.
The option of having to trade time for money can be gone in an instant. Watching what occurred with so many others, I gained a tremendous amount of business clarity. I knew I’d made the right choice years ago to be self employed, to be in the health and wellness space and to be in network marketing where I can reach tens of thousands of people daily on multiple continents.
I know many people are concerned about the future (the latest stat I read mentioned 65% of people feel uncertain and anxious about the year ahead), but I’ve never had a clearer vision for my business, I know exactly where I’m taking it and I know exactly how to get there. I’m grateful every day that I followed my passion and wasn’t afraid to believe in myself!
Thank you Chelsea for participating in this Q&A session. We wish you all the best.
Thank you so kindly! I so enjoyed participating and having this experience with you all!
